SQUID GAME

The media has taken a recent liking to the new Netflix release―Squid Games. Set in South Korea, this high stake TV phenomenon is definitely worth the watch. The original version of this show is in Korean, but don't let this turn you away because the english voice-over is done very well. In the series, a diverse range of contestants in crippling debt are given the opportunity to receive a life-changing cash prize, but at a high cost―their lives. They compete in a series of games, and as they advance, the cash prize increases. As the show goes on, more questions arise―who is the creator? What is the next game? And more importantly, who will survive? It’s a thrilling, high-intensity watch; however, there are some racey parts, and the show is rated R. The only critique I have is that the police aspect was a bit slow, but not enough to take away from my recommendation of the show.
